FinAnalytica, the leading provider of market risk and portfolio construction solutions, has named Jamie Ridyard Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. He succeeds David Merrill, who has been FinAnalytica's CEO since mid-2009.
A member of FinAnalytica's Board of Directors for nearly three years, Mr. Ridyard brings to the position 20 years of sales, marketing, strategy and finance experience. He was most recently CEO of MB Ventures Ltd., an idea lab and business incubator with assets in micropayments, sales technologies and gamification. Prior to that, from 1994-2009, he was CEO of SunGard APT, a risk solutions company, having been instrumental in its growth over the previous 15 years and ultimately, its sale to SunGard in February 2008. Mr. Ridyard has also been a lecturer on the philosophy of law and justice at the Wroclaw University of Economics (Poland) and has served as a non-executive director for several firms in the finance, media and technology sectors.

Mr. Ridyard earned his Master of Arts with Honors in psychology and philosophy from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).
