BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System payment solutions for the global financial industry, announces today the successful completion of the first phase of an ambitious project to standardize card processing capabilities across all of ERSTE Group subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe.
Slovenská sporiteľňa was chosen as the pilot for this program which will deliver a single processing platform, reducing costs while dramatically increasing speed to market with innovative solutions.
This project is the first step in the multi-country roll-out, which will see all ERSTE Group subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe operate on a single payments platform. Slovenská sporiteľňa is the largest commercial bank in Slovakia, and provides comprehensive banking services to more than 2 million clients via the largest distribution network with 400 retail outlets across the country. The Bank offers customers a wide range of card products and services, and chose SmartVista to ensure that it could keep pace with changing customer needs and market trends.
To rapidly design and launch innovative credit card products, BPC has implemented SmartIssuer, a sophisticated solution that helps issuers manage the complete cardholder relationship. It provides application processing, with a scoring component that helps pre-qualify applicants, and efficiently manages the customer relationship after the card has been issued by providing a range of facilities including statement and letter production, fee calculation and application, and comprehensive reporting. The SmartVista project is being run in conjunction with the replacement of a number of existing systems.
"We are proud to assist Slovenská sporiteľňa and ERSTE Group in their ambitious multi-country project. We know that SmartVista has all the capabilities needed to rapidly deliver customized products based on a core set of standards applied across the Group, and we look forward to helping Slovenská sporiteľňa offer innovative products and services to its customers and to enabling ERSTE Group fulfill its plans," says Vasily Volynsky, VP Europe and Ukraine.
