Judo, the UK's leading provider of simple, secure payment solutions for mobile, today announced it will provide card payments in the native mobile app for global taxi software firm T Dispatch.
With judo's technology, T Dispatch will be able to offer an app to customers that use its dispatch solution, thereby making it easier for them to accept payments when booking taxis.
judo provides a simple, ready-to-install back-end system for payment processing that takes the hassle out of creating a solution from scratch, which allows developers to focus more time on the quality of the apps they produce.
Bryony Cooper, CEO of T Dispatch, said: 'Taxi fleets depend on our technology to run their daily operations and it's crucial that we deliver the best possible solution to our customers. This includes providing them with a consumer app that can easily accept card payments, so that vehicles can be booked and paid for straight from the app. judo's payment processing gives us that capability and we expect to see a rise in consumers using this great tool and offering our fleet owners customer loyalty to their brand.'
T Dispatch has filled a gap in the market for cab companies that don't use a dispatch service and are looking for an easy way to deliver quick and reliable services to passengers. It currently supports over 1,500 fleet customers worldwide, including well known taxi app start-ups Cabbie and Hailo and plans to expand its operations to South America in 2014.
The company's taxi dispatch system offers a web-based system that's aligned with Google technology. The software is simple to use and requires no set up fee, making it affordable and accessible to cab fleets that would otherwise be reluctant to embrace new technologies.
Commenting on the deal judo VP Sales & Marketing, Michael De Jongh said: 'Customers enjoy the convenience of using their mobile phones to pay for services-especially for transportation. What T Dispatch has provided is not only a dispatch system for cab companies but also a consumer app that allows passengers to pay for their journeys in an easy and secure way without worrying about having enough cash to pay their fare. Giving customers that choice will build loyalty for T Dispatch's services and help the company grow its operations globally.'
