Paysafecard group, Europe's leading prepaid payment provider, continues its successful growth strategy by launching paysafecard on yet another continent.

Australia, a country with a steadily growing e-commerce market where 90 percent of the population uses the Internet, is one of the world's leading countries in terms of digital development. With the launch of paysafecard, Australian companies and consumers now have access to a secure prepaid payment method for the Internet which requires neither a bank account nor a credit card.

Michael Mueller, CEO of paysafecard group, says: "We enter the Australian market with high expectations as we see a great potential for our prepaid payment solution. The majority of consumers in Australia still rely on cash. Many Australians also have safety concerns when it comes to paying online. This makes our product particularly interesting for Australia as customers can use paysafecard as safely, easily and fast as cash."

"Most companies that offer prepaid products in Australia charge high fees to the customers. paysafecard is different as the customer doesn't have to pay any fees at all," Mueller points out.

Strong distribution network right from the start
By teaming up with epay and Touch Networks, paysafecard starts with a distribution network of over 12,000 outlets in Australia. Over the coming weeks, further co-operations with sales and distribution partners will follow.
