Fukuoka Financial Group, Inc. (FFG) is a broad area-based regional financial group in Kyushu and has three subsidiary banks under its corporate umbrella: Bank of Fukuoka, Kumamoto Bank, and Shinwa Bank. FFG provides advanced and various financial services using its dense business network.

FFG deployed NCR iTRAN ImageTrac to reduce data input workload for its electronic fund transfer processing, as the first step to improve operational efficiency and spread document imaging practice in the group. NCR iTRAN ImageTrac reads paper documents, produces high-quality color digital images, and sorts documents with high-speed (up to 438 sheets per minute). It also has the capability to handle mixed-size documents, recognize special characters, and read barcodes as well as imprint numbers and barcodes on the sorted documents. The NCR iTRAN ImageTrac helps systematic and efficient operations such as confirming the document image, inputting and modifying data, and searching necessary data for inquiries.

"NCR's technology solutions make everyday easier for consumers. With our iTRAN ImageTrac solution, we are also making life easier for bank staff by offering improved operational efficiency and high reliability," said NCR Japan's Toshio Morohoshi. "Financial institutions now have technology that will grow with their business, and equally important, help their business grow."
