Payleven introduces customer loyalty programme

Payleven, Europe's leading provider of mobile card payments, introduces its extensive loyalty program which aims to help merchants turn one-time clients into regular customers whilst establishing strong ties with them.

Based on a digital version of the well-known loyalty bonus stamp cards and integrated into the payleven app, it enables small and medium-sized businesses to create individual loyalty programms and corresponding campaigns. In addition, they gain an insight into consumer spending and are given the opportunity to interact with their customers. The payleven loyalty program offers enormous additional value on top of using Chip & PIN as a payment solution, and paves the way for the future of mPOS. It is available as of now as an open beta-test and is available for payleven customers in Germany and United Kingdom without an additional charge.

"Just as with card payments, small and medium-sized businesses are left out of loyalty schemes", says Alston Zecha, founder and COO at payleven. "Loyal customers are essential in these times of e-commerce and multi-branch operations, since just a 5% increase in the number of loyal customers can increase turnover by 25% to 90%. With the payleven loyalty program, we underline our vision to be an all-encompassing provider for our clients. We deliver solutions that enhance business opportunities for merchants of all sizes and help make them more efficient and profitable."

The principle of the payleven loyalty program is as easy as it is effective. payleven customers themselves create campaigns and define the number and value of the stamps appearing on their digital stamp card. The merchant is free to choose whether the traditional free coffee if offered, or whether an unspecified gift is offered to the customer after a number of purchases over a certain value. Immediately after the payment, customers are able to register with their email address via the payleven app. Afterwards they receive an opt-in email, which they need to confirm to gain access to a link where they can have a look at their collected bonus points. In addition to this, merchants always have access to an overview showing which customers registered for the loyalty program and how many points or digital stamp-cards the participants have already collected. When re-registering, participants just need to enter their email address on the payleven app. Merchants will then be able to communicate with their customers via email and invite them to visit their store again, or draw their attention to special promotions.
