Diebold, Incorporated (DBD) is enhancing the loan payment process for customers of Thailand's leading consumer finance company, AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited.
AEON is adding 100 customized Diebold Opteva 378 cash recycling automated teller machines (ATMs) featuring integrated coin dispensers to its fleet. The compact footprint ATMs will streamline AEON's cash management process, while also delivering superior customer experiences. Using the self-service terminals, AEON customers can quickly make loan payments without waiting in teller lines.
AEON provides a variety of retail financial services, including credit card and personal loan services with more than 6.7 million cards. The Bangkok-based company operates 107 branches and 399 ATMs nationwide and supports more than 15,800 dealers providing financial services to AEON cardholders.
Featuring integrated coin dispensers and note acceptors, the customized ATMs recycle consumer-deposited cash for use in future withdrawal transactions. The ATMs accept, validate and denominate deposited cash before making it available for withdrawals. Reusing this deposited cash extends the availability of the ATMs for consumers and decreases cash management costs for AEON.
"With its modern and compact design, Diebold's cash recycling ATMs will enhance our customer experience allowing them to conveniently perform their transactions around the clock," said Ms. Supattra Rugkhumkaew, senior vice president of AEON's marketing department. "The cash recycling technology will also drive efficiency by reducing the frequency of our self-service terminals replenishment visits. Reducing our cash management oversight will ultimately result in operational cost savings for the company," said Ms. Supattra Rugkhumkaew.
"Expanding AEON's self-service network opens up opportunities for the financial services company to streamline consumers' loan repayments, while allowing service staff to focus on other consumer needs. Just like traditional financial institution consumers, AEON's customers can expect an intuitive, user-friendly ATM experience that saves them time with every transaction," said Verapun Patanayindee, vice president and managing director ASEAN, Diebold.
