Waratek today announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Korea Data Telecommunication (KDT) enabling the Korean market place to improve the operation of their Java applications, gaining the significant benefits associated with Java Virtualization.

Java is the most widely used programming language in the world but it was not developed for Cloud Computing. This makes it difficult to run Java applications in Cloud environments. Waratek's patented Java Virtualization takes core Java code and, with no code changes, provides applications with multitenancy and elasticity. This dramatically increases application density enabling cost cutting benefits of 50% or more on Java infrastructure.

KDT have been offering cloud-based cooperation and control services to Internet Data Centres and Internet Service providers since 2004. 'Our experience in Cloud Computing places us uniquely in understanding the benefits that our clients can achieve when running Java applications in Cloud environments.' said Mr Ji Yeon Lee, KDT CEO. 'We look forward to introducing Waratek to our clients.'

'KDT are uniquely placed with their experience of Cloud Computing and Internet solutions and we are delighted to be partnering with them in Korea.' said Howard Tolman, Business Development Director.

Waratek were recently voted Top Global Innovator by the SWIFT member community and senior innovation executives of global financial institutions, as the most promising Innovator likely to shape the development of the financial sector.
