Solutionforge, provider of FIX-based straight through processing (STP) solutions, today announced that Canada Life International, Liberty Ermitage, Bank of New York and Brewin Dolphin have implemented its FIX engine, FIX.NET Server, to deliver connectivity to the EMX Message System (EMX) - the UK's leading electronic funds marketplace.

Solutionforge, a provider of solutions designed exclusively for the Microsoft platform, connects more firms to EMX than any other vendor. Solutionforge's offering for EMX allows financial transaction data to be transferred between fund purchasers and fund managers using the FIX protocol. In addition, Solutionforge provides the encryption and other PKI-based security software required to interface with EMX.

"We have a long standing relationship with Solutionforge. The fact that their technology provides connectivity for such a large number of the firms using the EMX Message System speaks for itself. Critical mass is imperative to the success of EMXCo and we need to work with technology providers who make connecting to the hub simple and cost effective. As Microsoft's preferred supplier, we are always keen to work with Solutionforge," commented Tony Wood, Head of Sales & Marketing, EMXCo.

"We selected Solutionforge due to its unparalleled experience in offering EMX connectivity. By leveraging Solutionforge's off-the-shelf technologies and in-depth expertise, we were up and running on EMX in a much shorter timeframe than we originally anticipated, enabling us to accelerate return on our investment," said Robert Gaskell, Group IT Director, Liberty Ermitage.

Commenting on the new signings, Kevin Lee, Sales Director, Solutionforge said: "We are delighted to have been selected by four new clients to realise EMX connectivity. We have been working closely with EMXCo since its inception in 2000. Our mission is offer affordable solutions to the buy and sell-side that enable them to reap the benefits afforded by electronic trading and STP. By taking advantage of the Microsoft platform, FIX.NET Server is able to provide a robust and proven solution in an extremely cost effective manner - all of which contribute to its position as the EMX connectivity solution of choice."
