Fincentric Corporation announced today that Meridian Credit Union, the third largest credit union in Canada has selected Fincentric and its Microsoft-based banking system to deliver banking services to Meridian's 180,000 members.
Formed earlier this year through the merger of Niagara Credit Union and HEPCOE Credit Union, Meridian needed a banking platform, which combined the flexibility to meet its technology vision and business objectives with industry leading vendor support. Deployed at the former Niagara Credit Union since 1999, Fincentric's banking system will be extended to the former HEPCOE Credit Union branches and integrated into Meridian's overall operations.
"Fincentric's system had been selected by Niagara Credit Union due to its market leading combination of functionality, stability, and reliability which continues to exceed other core banking systems today," said Steve Gesner, CIO, Meridian Credit Union. "We've been able to continually roll out new product features to meet the needs of our members with a platform our employees find very easy to use. This combination plus the maturity of Fincentric's banking system gives us a real competitive advantage moving forward, and easily accommodates our growth plans."
Gesner acknowledges that Fincentric's value-added partnership over the years significantly attributed to Meridian's selection. "Fincentric's product direction and road map are well-aligned with our company's plans," he added. "So we're able to leverage our current investment even further. We have a clear vision of what's coming next and that knowledge helps us to significantly plan for the future and to effectively support the needs of our members."
"Our success with Meridian Credit Union is a significant accomplishment for Fincentric," said Robert Nygren, president and CEO, Fincentric. "This deal illustrates the valuable partnership we continue to bring to existing clients and to Canadian credit unions with our more than twenty years of technology expertise."
