Bluepoint Solutions announced today that Credit Union 1 has selected its ImagePoint ATM for ATM check capture.
With $864 million in assets and 14 branches, Credit Union 1 boasts a service area spanning the entire state of Alaska. To better serve such a far-flung member base, the credit union launched a comprehensive ATM replacement project in December 2012 and installed ATMs from Diebold. After a thorough vendor review process between several providers, an internal project team deemed Bluepoint's ImagePoint ATM check capture as the solution best equipped to handle the credit union's projected growth and the addition of additional capture points in the future. Credit Union 1 also chose Bluepoint due to its accelerated time to market capabilities, as well as the company's ability to integrate multiple RDC capture points that are supported by a single back-office cashletter system.
"Because our membership is spread across such a vast and often remote area, it was important for us to offer ATM check capture services for members unable to get to a branch during operating hours," said Leslie Ellis, president and CEO of Credit Union 1. "Bluepoint helped us smoothly integrate check capture into our updated ATMs and helped our employees with the rollout across our ATM network. As members became more comfortable with the new technology, we have seen ATM deposits increase more than 480 percent since March of this year."
"Credit Union 1's addition of ImagePoint ATM will broaden the accessibility to key financial services for their members," said Andrew Tilbury, chief marketing officer of Bluepoint Solutions. "Consumer demand for greater convenience from their financial institutions continues to drive adoption for remote deposit capture points such as image-enabled ATMs. We are pleased to partner with Credit Union 1 to bring this service to their members."
