CrediPeso, one of Mexico's emerging microfinance institutions, has selected Mambu GmbH, the microfinance software-as-a-service provider, to help manage its growing client portfolio.
CrediPeso is a 'sociedad financiera de objeto multiple' or SOFOM, a Mexican multi-purpose financial company that provides essential financial services such as credit and leasing in addition to the mainstream banking sector.
Established in 2009 to meet the growing need for microfinancial services in Mexico's Tabasco region, CrediPeso provides its individual clients with microloans. CrediPeso is Mambu's 12th SOFOM customer in Mexico, and has plans for rapid growth. Mambu's existing customers include Podemos Progresar, CreciApoyo, and Go Credit.
"Affordability and accessibility were vital considerations for us, as we look to build our business and grow our client portfolio," said Enrique Gular, owner of CrediPeso. "Mambu's easy-to-use, flexible platform was the obvious choice for us and the Mambu team have provided excellent support in order to get us up and running in a very short time frame."
Eugene Danilkis, CEO and co-founder of Mambu added "Mambu was created to help organizations like CrediPeso deliver essential banking services to the world's underbanked individuals and emerging enterprises. With our unique 'pay as you grow' revenue-based pricing model, all financial organizations, irrespective of size, can now access modern banking technology, at a fraction of the cost."
Mambu has been deployed as CrediPeso's core portfolio management system, and is helping CrediPeso automate manual processes so that it can quickly onboard new clients, improve management reporting and manage its operational costs. The implementation was completed in less than two weeks.
With Mambu's platform, CrediPeso is improving its management reporting, reducing the operational risks associated with human error and fraud, improving client onboarding and enhancing its client support. In addition, Mambu integrates easily with local financial ecosystems ensuring CrediPeso can comply with local regulations and standards.
