Noor Islamic Bank (Noor) has equipped six of its branches in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi with 15 of the latest generation Apple iPads as part of its strategy of encouraging customers to bank on line.
The iPads are located in the bank's Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai Marina, Dubai Mall and EBV Clock Tower branches, as well as its Rolla branch, Sharjah and Khalifa branch, Abu Dhabi.
Trained staff are on hand to explain Noor's online and mobile banking services and to demonstrate both services to the bank's customers. To support its online banking drive, Noor has launched two special offers - free bank account opening with no balance requirement and 5 per cent cash back with credit cards applied for online.
John Chang, Head of Retail Banking at Noor said: "Online and mobile banking is convenient, easy to use and secure. We believe that our future customers will want to bank with us when they want, where they want and how they want. Digital banking is the future and we are determined to be at the forefront of the biggest change in banking since the introduction of ATMs."
Noor has gained a reputation for offering innovative, client-focused, banking products and services. It continues to lead the retail banking market in providing convenient online and mobile banking solutions, including the UAE's first fully operational mobile internet banking experience in the Arabic language.
Noor was also the first Islamic bank to offer an on-line account opening service. The easy to use service enables UAE residents to apply for either current, savings or current and savings accounts, from the comfort of their home or office, without the need to visit a bank branch.
Account approval is normally granted within 48 hours. Those living outside the UAE, who wish to own a Noor account in the UAE, can apply for a savings account through the web site.
