NorsePayments, a division of NorseCorp, today announced the appointment of William (Bill) Paul as Director of Business Development.

Mr. Paul joins NorsePayments with nearly two decades of experience on both the ISO and VAR sides of the payment processing industry. He brings a proven track record of success as a salesperson building merchant account portfolios, and as an entrepreneur and executive developing overall ISO organizations and sales teams.

As Director of Business Development for NorsePayments, Mr. Paul will help to drive education and adoption of NorsePayments' flagship nGate payment processing gateway and related products that include Chargeback Alerts for "friendly fraud" prevention, CommerceShield for pre-approval fraud prevention and analysis, and InstantAccept for syncing merchant payment processing with Quickbooks. In selling these products, Mr. Paul provides a deep knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing processors and merchants in the evolving payments space.

"Bill is a valuable addition to the NorsePayments team as he brings a buyer side perspective to the supplier side of the business," said Marnie Keller, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for NorsePayments. "He has a very deep understanding of how ISO organizations and their agents work, and what they need to open up their businesses to additional revenue streams and increased profitability."

"What NorsePayments brings to market with the nGate payment gateway is very powerful, and being able to bring a new level of functionality to ISOs and agents presents an exciting opportunity," said Mr. Paul. We are committed to giving ISOs and agents the tools and information they need for increasing their business and profitability."

Prior to joining NorsePayments, Mr. Paul was Vice President and Director of ISO Sales for RedFin Network, where he was responsible for broadening the company's sales base through the recruitment and addition of ISO resellers. He previously served as President of Merchants TPS and as President and Managing Director of W.W.P.E, Inc.

Mr. Paul was part of the first class of payment industry professionals to earn the Certified Payment Professional (CPP) designation offered by the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA).
