TransFirst, a leading provider of transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies, announces in conjunction with VeriFone Systems, Inc. (PAY) that it now offers its merchant customers the EMV- and NFC-capable VX 520 countertop payment solution and VX 805 contactless PIN pad from VeriFone.

TransFirst has added the two payment systems to its portfolio of supported systems after recently completing compatibility certification. "TransFirst is committed to helping merchants keep pace with the exciting new developments in payments," says John Shlonsky, TransFirst's president and CEO. "We're extending our relationship with VeriFone to take advantage of these tech-forward solutions that will help ensure merchants are able to adapt to EMV requirements and take advantage of new NFC payment and mobile wallet opportunities."

"We're eager to work with TransFirst in providing U.S. merchants a smooth transition as the U.S. payment card industry adopts alternative payments and adapts to the EMV standard that is now accepted virtually worldwide," says Jennifer Miles, president of VeriFone Americas.

"Merchants can select these solutions secure in the knowledge that TransFirst is ready to help them with their payment acceptance needs of today and tomorrow."

VeriFone's VX 520 is a reliable, rugged countertop device with a powerful processor and expandable memory designed to handle processing of card payments at lightning speeds.

Integrated NFC capabilities support alternative payments and value-added applications such as loyalty or gift card acceptance. The VX 805 is a convenient payment device that allows merchants to process a range of transactions through multiple connectivity options and is ready for NFC mobile commerce and EMV.

The VeriFone systems satisfy merchant needs for cutting-edge solutions as EMV migration looms and consumer interest in mobile wallets and alternative payments increases. Faster checkout speeds allow merchants to complete more transactions and get consumers on their way more quickly.
