Türkiye Is Bankasi, Turkey's biggest bank in terms of active assests, has ordered 335 CINEO Cash Recycling systems from Wincor Nixdorf. Installation of the systems will start this summer.
The order also includes software applications and a service contact for maintenance of the hardware and software.
For the last two years, Is Bank, whose focus in the expansion of all its service channels is consistently on innovations, has been installing only cash recycling systems - devices that also pay out deposited bank notes once they have been checked for authenticity. In addition to the option of depositing or withdrawing bank notes, the bank also offers its customers other services on the self-service systems. For instance, they can pay bills with a barcode quickly and easily. And students can use the devices to top up the credit on their electronic university cards. The systems were equipped for this purpose with contactless card readers and barcode readers.
The decision in favor of Wincor Nixdorf's technology was made after 30 CINEO systems had proven their worth with regard to high availability and functionality during extensive field tests.
With around 25,000 employees, Türkiye İş Bankası looks after 15 million customers, operates 1,300 branches and an ATM network of 5,200 systems which is the largest ATM network in Turkey.
