McMillan reports to Chief Executive Officer Amany Attia and is a member of the company's operational management committee. Based mainly in Acenden's High Wycombe office, he is responsible for all the core operating teams in the business. These include the High Wycombe-based contact centre operation, the administration unit, the specialist servicing and arrears teams, and the strategy and planning group.

McMillan has joined Acenden from the Ulster Bank subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland plc. He has over 20 years' banking experience across a number of senior roles in RBS Group. These include Head of Mortgages, responsible for processing new mortgage applications for seven Group brands, and most recently Head of Banking Operations for Ulster Bank.

In his earlier career, McMillan held several critical mortgage business planning and supplier management positions, following a number of years in the retail bank branch network. He brings deep knowledge of both RBS and the Irish financial markets, which will be of great use as Acenden continues to grow its offering and operations in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
