GlobalPlatform, which standardizes the management of applications on secure chip technology, welcomes TÜV SÜD Japan as a Participating Member. As a priority, the company will take part in the GlobalPlatform compliance program. The program, through its established testing infrastructure and qualified test tool providers and laboratories, seeks to ensure the advancement and maintenance of an interoperable, sustainable and trusted end-to-end environment for managing applications on secure chip technology.

With compliance programs addressing the UICC Configuration, Basic Financial Configuration and Trusted Execution Environment Specifications already in place, the association is currently working to offer a compliance program for its Secure Element (SE) Configuration for smart microSDs and embedded SEs. It is also advancing test tools for GlobalPlatform's ID Configuration and SE Access Control Configuration.

As a Participating Member, TÜV SÜD Japan will also engage in GlobalPlatform's market-specific task force initiatives and has chosen to contribute to all aspects of GlobalPlatform's Card Committee; assisting in defining neutral specifications for the deployment and management of multiple applications on secure chip technology.
