Working with mobile payments company, Boku, the process makes it easier for users to obtain PlayStation Store and Sony Entertainment Network content, including downloadable games, add-ons, themes, movies and TV shows, as well as subscriptions to the Music Unlimited service. Mobile operator billing works in conjunction with all major UK mobile network operators.

Wallet top-ups with mobile operator billing can be made through the Sony Entertainment Network Account Management website and PlayStation®Store on PlayStation®3 (PS3™). Sony customers choose "mobile" as the payment option, enter their mobile phone number, and respond via SMS to confirm the wallet top-up. The wallet top-up charge will appear on their next mobile phone bill, or are debited against their pre-paid account*.

Gordon Thornton, Vice President, Sony Network Entertainment Europe, said: "We are always looking at new ways to give our customers more choice in terms of content, accessibility and payment methods, and are pleased to be able to offer the option of mobile operator billing, which are becoming more and more popular."
