TS-Associates deploys Infobright Enterprise Edition

Infobright today announced that TS-Associates, a leading supplier of Precision Instrumentation solutions has deployed Infobright Enterprise Edition (IEE).

Embedded into TS-Associates' TipOff® G6 Turbo data flow monitoring appliance, IEE extends the provider's ability to monitor and optimize data flow latency with cost-effective performance and scale. IEE enables per-transaction persistence at five times the rate of competitive offerings, achieving over one million transactions per second during peak events such as market open. This enables TS-Associates' customers to analyze latency in near real-time, gaining critical insight that drives competitive advantage in today's electronic trading world.

"In an environment where the majority of trades are originated by computer algorithms rather than human traders, financial institutions seek competitive advantage by minimizing latency throughout the whole trading process. But you can't manage what you can't measure," said Henry Young, CEO, TS-Associates. "Infobright delivers the scale, ease of use and unmatched performance that enables us to meet the real-time requirements of our most demanding customers and position us at the front of the pack."

Customers, including brokerages, exchanges and buy-side trading firms, turn to TS-Associates to measure latency (the time it takes to make a decision and execute a trade) in both production systems and development environments. When TS-Associates found that traditional relational database solutions were unable to cost effectively meet customers' growing performance requirements it turned to Infobright as its high-performance database of choice. Infobright now enables TS-Associates to monitor latency in the very highest frequency flows with accuracy to tens of nanoseconds, thereby providing customers with precise, valuable insight into how and where to optimize latency. Infobright's high performance database engine delivers the real-time upload speeds, deep data compression, fast query performance and easy administration TS-Associates required.

"Delivering high volumes of data is typically just an engineering problem, but Infobright's compression capabilities turn it into a business-value equation, allowing us to give customers more storage capacity at a combination of lower price points and higher margins," said Steve Rodgers, CTO, TS-Associates. "We anticipate further enhancing our solution with analytics based on Infobright's capabilities, such as multi-node scalability, which we can easily leverage to build out new features and further enhance our competitive advantage."

Infobright's compression capabilities allow TipOff not only to store more data, but also enable full capture of higher frequency flows and storage of longer historical data sets, all of which adds up to significant business value for TS-Associates' customers.
