SmartDebit, the UK's leading Direct Debit bureau, have announced their partnership with a leading provider of secure paper and electronic payment solutions, The Tall Group of Companies.
This announcement comes at a time when Direct Debits are becoming a more prominent feature in the average bank account in the UK. Bacs, the governing body behind Direct Debit, processed over 3.4 billion Direct Debits during 2012, with 75 per cent of adults having at least one Direct Debit set up.
The TALL Group of Companies comprises TALL Security Print Ltd and Checkprint Ltd, formed in 1991 and 1993 respectively. Their specialist payment processing knowledge and expertise has led The TALL Group to become a leader in their field, providing business cheques to all of the UK's major banks. In addition to their cheque printing services, the company also provides electronic payment solutions, an area where the partnership with SmartDebit will look to add real value.
The SmartDebit service complements The TALL Group's existing Bacs payment submission service with the use of an online Direct Debit administration portal, SmartDebit Admin®. The cloud-based service allows service users to set up new payers, amend details and view reports on their Direct Debit collections. The Direct Debit process is fully automated; managing the payment submissions, sending the mandatory notices to payers and providing the Bacs reports after the collection date.
