From 1st July, GlobalCharge Ltd is pleased to announce support for Bitcoin payments to all of its clients.

GlobalCharge currently powers the advanced payment mechanisms behind some of the largest and most profitable content based web sites in Europe. GlobalCharge solves one of the largest issues for the operators of these sites: ensuring that their customers can actually pay for content.

Operating for over 13 years, GC has world leading experience in this sector. Simon Coates CEO states: "Bitcoin complements the large range of specialist payment methods we already offer, namely our In-App SDK, Carrier Billing, Premium SMS, PaybyPhone and Subscriptions. Bitcoin offers multiple benefits to Merchants and Site Operators, not least an easy to use and discrete product that is relevant to the target market."

Co-founder Antony Redfern adds: "Normal card based payments show low conversion rates for web content. GlobalCharge's suite of products transform this. Bitcoin is another step towards our goal of 100% completion of every payment attempt for our customers."

Shareholder, partner at Mangrove Capital and former COO of Skype, Michael Jackson, adds: "The Company offers a wide variety of alternative payment methods. Bitcoin serves the needs of a particular segment, a segment that values privacy and separation of their activities from their regular household accounts.

"Global Charge are pleased to offer access to web content and services using this discrete payment method. We announce our support for BC to demonstrate that we continue to be at the leading edge of payment technology - so that our merchants can gain more revenue, and their customers be more satisfied," Jackson continued.

GlobalCharge has been at the forefront of content payment systems since the advent of the web. The Company has always reacted to new developments in payment techniques, legislation and opportunities. The core technology, ensures that a user can be dynamically presented with the most appropriate and secure payment method available. The availability of Bitcoin on the platform reinforcess the company's position as a leader in content payment systems.
