Therefore, Jurgen Verstraete, Ogone's Chief Operating Officer (COO), will be taking up the role of Managing Director Ogone and lead the daily operational management, starting 1 June.

Moreover, the group also communicated the appointments of Ludovic Houri as Chief Sales Officer Ogone and Erik Hogenkamp as General Manager Tunz with immediate effect.

Ludovic Houri brings with him more than 20 years of payment industry experience. In his new function as Chief Sales Officer, he will be responsible for driving the Ogone sales team in Europe, developing long-term and win-win relationships with customers. Ludovic will lead the synergies between Ingenico and Ogone's product suites to develop cross-channel product propositions. Prior to joining Ogone, Ludovic was Vice-President of Business Development of the Mobility business line at Ingenico. Previous to that, he joined First Data in 2002 where he was Vice President of Multinational Merchants. He also spent 12 years at American Express, notably as Business Development Director for Global Network Services.

As the new General Manager of Tunz, Erik Hogenkamp will be running the day-to-day management of Tunz together with Jan Van Wijnendaele. He has broad and deep experience of the international merchant payment and acquiring industry. Erik joined Tunz from Paytect, a payment solution architecture & consultancy company, which he founded. Before that, he was Director Global Sales at First Data International in charge of a new Card not Present business line of a European joint-venture, which he built from scratch.

These changes in Ogone's Executive Team reflect the focus on global expansion and the ambition to become the leader in cross-channel payment solutions in the pan-European market.

"I would like to congratulate Jurgen for his promotion and wish him much success in this new challenge", stated Peter De Caluwe, CEO of Ogone. "I'm also delighted that Ludovic Houri and Erik Hogenkamp have joined Ogone. Their experience in the payment industry and their extensive expertise in building and leading successful organisations will undoubtedly be considerable assets for Ogone's future expansion and the cross-channel solutions we'll be developing in the Ingenico Group".
