Russia's Alfa-Bank taps BPC for P2P money transfer service

BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, announces the implementation of a new P2P (person-to-person) money transfer service for Alfa-Bank, Russia.

This service, which is available on ATMs and via Internet Banking, enables P2P money transfers in Russia and the CIS countries. The launch of this new service represents the latest step in Alfa-Bank's strategy of leveraging BPC's advanced capabilities to offer innovative, secure and convenient products while dramatically lowering costs and improving time to market.

The sophisticated P2P service delivers card-to-card transfers for MasterCard and Visa cardholders in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. Alfa-Bank cardholders may make P2P transfers, via the ATM network, to recipients with cards issued by any CIS bank. Transfers may be executed in rubles or US dollars. For P2P transfers through Alfa-Bank's internet banking channel, the cardholder may use Visa card issued by Alfa-Bank and MasterCard card issued by any bank of these 7 countries, in both rubles and US dollars. All transactions are secure and comply with MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by VISA.
