Mellon GCM's wholesale lockbox image customers now have access to the latest imaging capabilities with customizable, user-friendly features for faster payment processing, information capture and check and document image retrieval.

"The speed, accuracy and flexibility of this industry-leading application enable us to provide our customers with timely and easy access to both their critical remittance data and images," said Robert W. Stasik, executive vice president and head of Mellon GCM. "Our new image service also offers customers a wide variety of benefits that center on accelerated cash flow, faster access to a broader array of important business information and increased peace of mind when it comes to receivables processing."

Mellon's new wholesale lockbox online archive and browser functionality is designed to enable customers to:

  • significantly improve their cash application process by enabling them to have selected images, entire batches or an entire deposit date's worth of images returned to them through a single action as a PDF, greatly reducing the amount of time needed to access images.
  • enhance their credit review practices by allowing them to locate specific customer payments on the day they are processed, which provides them with faster access to deposit information.
  • improve customer service responsiveness and client satisfaction by sharing images with their clients and co-workers by e-mail, fax or hardcopy.
  • add images to their own internal archive by enabling them to download raw image and index information online, and at intervals that best meet their individual needs.
  • reduce paper handling and storage costs through fingertip access to a long-term archive of images and remittance information designed to reduce their reliance on express mail deliveries and the need to search through paper files to locate transactions and enable customers to work in a virtually "paperless" environment.

A consistently top-rated performer in leading industry surveys, Mellon operates one of the country's largest, wholly owned lockbox networks grown organically and not through acquisition. Mellon is also one of the few providers to offer uniform processing systems and data-integration capabilities, enabling the same high-quality service delivery at all seven processing sites.
