Groupon unveils iPad POS app

We're excited to announce that we've expanded our line of Breadcrumb point of sale products with Breadcrumb POS - a new, free iPad app that enables quick-service eateries, salons, spas and retail merchants to replace their outdated cash registers with an easy-to-use solution that offers local businesses a low-price guarantee that will beat any comparable plan on credit card transaction fees.

In addition to offering one of the most cost-effective hardware packages for any basic iPad POS system, Breadcrumb also includes the lowest credit card processing rates in the U.S. on swiped transactions over $15. With its built-in processing service, Breadcrumb merchants pay only 1.8% plus $0.15 per Visa, MasterCard, or Discover transaction and never have to worry about hidden costs or monthly fees.

Plus, when you sign up and purchase your initial equipment from the Breadcrumb store, you'll pay zero fees on the first $5,000 in credit card transactions.

"With this launch we can help every local business replace their outdated cash registers with a modern, affordable, money-saving tool that allows them to save on credit card transaction fees and run their businesses better," said Mihir Shah, VP Merchant OS. "The successful adoption of Breadcrumb Pro by restaurants and bars has been very encouraging, with some of the finest venues in the country using it to run their businesses. As a result, we decided to launch Breadcrumb POS and bring the power and simplicity of this product to more merchants."
