Anderson Zaks, a leading Omni-channel Payment Service Provider (PSP), is working with ECR Retail Systems (ECR), the London-based Mobile Point of Sale (MPoS) specialist, to provide secure payment options on ECR's range of handheld point of sale terminals.

The partnership enables ECR to deliver secure payments on the move to customers with mobile sales and service teams. ECR already has several high profile clients using Anderson Zaks' RedCard Processing Service, including Irish Rail for its Rail Gourmet on-board food service, The Big Bus Company for street ticket sales and recent signing East Coast Mainline trains. ECR has been delivering outstanding handheld solutions worldwide for over 40 years and has 20,000 user licences.

ECR selected Anderson Zaks due to the high reliability, performance and flexibility of its RedCard Processing Service and Chip & PIN expertise. They also were looking for a PSP that was PCI DSS Level 1 certified and fully approved by Visa Europe and MasterCard. A wide choice of card types, transactions and acquirers were equally important.

Simon Pont, CEO of ECR Retail Systems said; "We have been working with Anderson Zaks for some time and our recent successful projects have cemented a very successful partnership of complementary solutions. We recognise Anderson Zaks extensive payments expertise and appreciate the high quality, personalised, support provided both to us and to our end clients. Our combined solution offers superior value to competitive solutions."

"We know that our customers are increasingly selling through e-Commerce sites, contact centres, kiosks and unattended devices" Pont continues "that is why Anderson Zaks' Omni-channel payments capabilities will be so important to us going forward."

ECR has provided The Big Bus Company with its handheld POS terminals so that sales agents can sell tickets to tourists out on the street. The system is the first ever to automate the entire ticket sale and credit/debit card processing for both vendor and card merchant in a single piece of mobile hardware. Unlike a mobile phone based solution, this dedicated handheld terminal incorporates a sector specific POS application, integral printer, smart card readder and secure PIN pad all in a single rugged device.

Rail Gourmet uses handheld mobile units throughout its trains via on-board WiFi or GPRS. The terminals include a fast, silent thermal printer to issue receipts and a bar code scanner for product sales. Retail transactions are logged on the system and all sales, stock and operator information is sent back to Rail Gourmet's head office server based in Dublin.

Iain High, Managing Director at Anderson Zaks said; "We are delighted that ECR has chosen our RedCard Processing Service for their card payment needs. Working closely together we can deliver market leading mobile payment solutions to merchants. For companies like The Big Bus and East Coast Mainline, we enable staff to provide a more flexible and faster customer service."

Anderson Zaks' RedCard Processing Service enables merchants to accept and process any card, anytime, anywhere. RedCard offers easy integration and supports credit, debit, ETU, DCC, gift, contactless and NFC transactions.
