International firm SSL Insurance Brokers Ltd has just gone live on Sequel's Eclipse managed software service.
Eclipse now handles all SSL's broking business replacing its legacy platform. This is the seventh managed software service customer Sequel have signed up since 2011.
SSL, as part of its business modernisation programme, chose Sequel to help it with data migration, training, provision of a managed application service as well as on-going support. The implementation project started at the beginning of December and went live in late March. Since then it has been it has been used successfully by SSL.
"Sequel made it easy for us," says Roger Spicer, CEO, SSL. "We now have an extremely powerful, fast and flexible system which improves our productivity, allows us to quickly and easily create reports and helps us to serve our clients and partners better. Now we have immediate access to information giving us a greatly improved picture of our business. What marked Sequel out was their understanding of our market place and their quality people and systems. The onsite support we received in the first weeks of going live was excellent. Sequel took full responsibility for the data migration including all of the data mapping, the automated conversion and reconciliation assistance. Their support and services are just what we need to move us forward."
"SSL is an excellent example of a forward thinking broker modernising and improving the quality of their business in this market place," says Michael Graham, Sales and Marketing Director, Sequel. "When replacing a legacy system, the sensible option is to consider the power and control that a modern managed software service offers.
"Such an arrangement - the kind that offers modern, powerful software and a high level of service - represents a trend in the market place. It provides an ideal way forward to brokers who have previously felt constrained by their legacy systems. It gives them the chance to modernise quickly, to gain the great advantages that powerful systems bring and to fundamentally strengthen their operations all within a matter of months." Graham concludes.
A managed software service allows a firm to build its business without distraction. Its systems always run on the latest and most powerful version of the chosen software. While maintaining full control and security of its processes and data, the firm outsources the day to day maintenance and servicing of its systems to its specialist software business partner.
