Boku, Inc today announced a partnership with Bigpoint SARL and Co, SCS, the Luxemburg-based online gaming platform with 300m+ registered players worldwide.

The partnership means that the Boku mobile payment service will be introduced by Bigpoint in its games in several markets.

The integration between Bigpoint and Boku provides a value-added service to Bigpoint and its millions of users with a secure payment mechanism that is both fast and easy to use.

Bigpoint's registered players simply enter their mobile phone number to checkout, and respond via SMS to confirm the payment; the charge appears on their mobile phone bill.

Merchants accepting Boku direct billing services achieve a higher conversion rate through access to advanced features such as continuous pricing and access to more paying customers including those with limited access to credit and debit cards.

"Adding our innovative mobile payment platform to one of the world's leading game publishers is a massive opportunity for both Boku and Bigpoint and a tremendous added benefit to the players that love their games," said Martin Buhl, Boku's Country Manager for Germany.

"Our experience coupled with our robust and flexible payment options will help Bigpoint reach new paying users and increase conversion while providing their customers with an efficient carrier billing checkout that lets them focus on the game and not on the payment," he continued.

"Boku helps us provide our customers with more flexibility by offering carrier billing as a full checkout payment option," said Jochen Siegert, Head of Payments, Risk and Pricing of Bigpoint.

"By adopting advanced features like continuous pricing that Boku's web billing platform offers we are making a significant step forward, and ultimately making it easier for our players to pay by mobile," he continued.
