OpenGamma, creators of the first open source analytics and risk management platform for the financial services industry, today announced the appointment of Hugh Stewart as Chief Revenue Officer. Stewart previously held the title of Global Head of Sales for OpenGamma.
Stewart will use his new role as Chief Revenue Officer to evolve OpenGamma's industry position and oversee marketing, sales, business development and delivery to ensure quality outcomes of the whole OpenGamma experience from pre-sales engagements to implementation and ongoing relationships thereafter.
"OpenGamma's business model is unique for the financial services industry. Because we are open source, our delivery and support models are vastly richer, more trustworthy and predictable, with an ever-growing ecosystem of developers, quantitative analysts, industry practitioners and integrators working with our technology," said Stewart. "The industry is starting to eagerly embrace the benefits of open source combined with the guarantees, service level agreements and confidential support associated with traditional commercial vendor relationships. I'm looking forward to working with our experienced team to ensure OpenGamma's clients and the community is positively benefiting from the radical changes in financial services and risk technology."
"We're pleased with Hugh's dedication to continuing to strengthen our relationship with our existing commercial clients, prospects, and open source users," said Mas Nakachi, Global CEO of OpenGamma. "We're dedicated to changing how financial services firms access and deploy the most cost-effective, transparent risk analytics tools available, and look forward to identifying new opportunities to continue evolving this trend in the industry."
