He has joined the Avaloq group as of 1 April 2013 as a member of the Executive Board. Peter Scott takes over from Mathias Schütz, who until now filled the double role of General Manager Western and Southern Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Avaloq group gains with Peter Scott a distinguished expert with profound global experience and extensive expertise in the financial services industry. Among other past achievements, Scott has lead the development of a new core banking solution, has overseen a solution provider's entire banking sector on a global basis and has successfully developed and driven several worldwide market strategies. One of Scott's core strengths is his talent to seamlessly combine technological and banking expertise, enabling the creation of new business solutions and the expansion into new markets.

Scott most recently was Global Head of Retail and International Banking at Misys. In his function he held the responsibility for the company's Retail Banking Solution portfolio. Prior to this, he was Global Head Banking Sector at Sun Microsystems Inc. Other appointments in his career were with Bolero, S.W.I.F.T and Barclays Bank.

As General Manager Asia Pacific Scott will focus on driving Avaloq's local business and further extending the company's strong position within the APAC region. With its regional headquarters in Singapore, where Scott will be stationed, the APAC region has seen strong expansion in recent years. Most recently, Avaloq opened a local office in Sydney, Australia in February 2013, in line with the company having signed its first customer on the Australian continent.

Peter Scott will find support in a strong existing local team, which excels through team spirit and in-depth market knowledge. His major focus will be to drive the expansion of Avaloq in the growing Asia Pacific banking and wealth management markets and the extension of Avaloq's regional presence on top of Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia to key markets such as China. Peter Scott reports directly to the Avaloq CEO Francisco Fernandez.
