Andrew's appointment will further enhance RVS QED's ongoing collaboration with global banks to produce financial benchmarks based on evidential data.
Andrew was formerly Head of Business Development at EuroCCP, the pan-European equities clearing house owned by the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation. He has held a number of other senior roles within the financial sector including working at the UK's Financial Services Authority and Swiss Exchange Europe.
In his role, Andrew will be responsible for implementing RVS QED's growth strategy which involves developing bespoke financial benchmarks that enhance the banks' ability to manage their balance sheets more effectively, better allocate capital and monitor their exposures on a daily basis, as well as meet regulatory obligations.
Andrew will report to Kevin Milne, CEO, RVS QED, who recently joined from the London Stock Exchange where he was responsible for post trade services.
Kevin Milne said: "Against a backdrop in which prudential valuation is becoming a key priority for banks around the world, our unique evidence-based benchmarking services will enable them to more efficiently allocate capital and understand their liquidity requirements.
"Andrew brings a deep knowledge of financial markets and in particular understands the regulatory pressures that banks face concerning the new collateral, capital and liquidity requirements brought about by the wave of forthcoming regulation. As such he will be an important addition to our senior management team as we move to the next stage of the evolution of our business globally."
