Those companies which enrol in the Founding Members Programme will be invited to participate in joint marketing efforts with HKEx and also be entitled to other benefits, including free trial schemes for marketing purposes.

The MMDH is HKEx's first infrastructure footprint in Mainland China. The OMD will provide a suite of low latency market data product feeds with content, market depth and bandwidth requirements tailored to suit the needs of different types of customers.

The MMDH will strengthen HKEx's Mainland connectivity and enable Mainland investors to access HKEx's market data through reliable, scalable and more cost-effective infrastructure. Dedicated international ethernet private lines, or IEPLs, will connect the MMDH to HKEx's OMD central system servers in Hong Kong for delivery of HKEx market data and related indices in a common message format.

Information vendors and other interested parties wishing to apply to become Founding Members can submit their application from now until the end of the first quarter of this year.
