ReD unveils BI portal for merchant customers

Source: ReD

ReD, a leading global provider of fraud prevention and payment services, today launches an interactive, self-service Business Intelligence portal that will enable merchant customers to directly monitor and better understand the efficiency of their fraud detection and prevention operations.

Available to all customers of the ReD Shield fraud prevention service, the innovative ReDi portal will provide merchants and payment service providers (PSPs) with an up-to-date and historic window on their data. Merchants will be able to access business critical information that can be used to enhance the performance of their fraud teams and initiatives - and to inform the development of wider business strategies.

The ReDi portal is accessed via the internet and provides high level dashboards and charts, with fast, intuitive navigation and drilldowns that take the user through layers of information, all the way down to individual transactions, in just a few clicks. Key trends and detailed transaction level information available through the portal will build up to cover over two years of history. This ensures that, as well as having an up-to-date view of what is happening now, merchants can view longer term trends or examine transactions from a historic period and track their ultimate outcomes, including chargebacks and fraud.

Phil Stothard, Director of Business Intelligence and Data at ReD, explained: "Merchants need to be able to make good business decisions faster than ever before. By giving our customers quick and easy direct access to the latest data, and the ability to get behind the headline information, ReDi will support faster, smarter decisions as well as accurate and timely reporting. It will enable more informed and productive interaction with the expert risk analysts at ReD who work with our ReD Shield customers every day, to tailor fraud strategies, devise and implement new fraud rules, assess and protect against changing fraud patterns and behaviours."

Like the ReD Shield service itself, ReDi can be tailored to meet individual merchant needs. Three levels of service will be offered, each providing a greater degree of customisation. The Basic level provides a regularly refreshed summary of processing volumes, recommendations aand rule performance, while Advanced and Professional levels will enable merchants to see the full depth and breadth of their data, personalise dashboards or create their own charts, extract data and share by email.
