Sopra Group Solutions UK - the market leading provider of mortgage and savings solutions, today announced that Newbury Building Society has signed a 5 year managed service contract to take the class leading Mortgage and Savings Suite (MSS) to support the full lifecycle of its core mortgage and savings business, including full branch support.

The project to implement the solution across its eleven branches is scheduled to go live within 12 months of the project commencement.

Sopra Group Solutions has established itself as the software solution provider of choice for over 45% of the UK's building societies. MSS provides flexibility and control allowing building societies to bring new products to market rapidly whilst providing full and effective support for these products over their lifetime.

Newbury Building Society is a returning customer to Sopra Group, having been impressed with Sopra Groups's continued investment in the solution. This, as well as the cost effectiveness and flexibility of the system were key to the Society's decision to reinvest in the MSS solution.

Commenting on signing the managed service contract, Phillippa Cardno (Assistant General Manager - Customer Services) from Newbury Building Society stated "The overriding objective of this project is to provide the Society with the most appropriate, efficient and effective solution, now and for the future. The Sopra Group solution is a proven system, and will be able to provide us with the functionality and flexibility our business needs. However, with such a business critical project, it was just as important that we felt comfortable with the chosen partner and had confidence in their ability to deliver the project on time and to budget"

Elliot Howard, Director of Sopra Group Solutions UK added "We are delighted that Newbury Building society has chosen to return to our platform. We have proven that we are the market leader in the UK and believe we are best suited to meet their requirements today and into the future. We look forward to growing our relationship and contributing to the Society's future success."
