We also knew that the two apps would need two very different designs in order to feel at home on each platform. Designing and building Simple for Android has been an opportunity to reimagine the Simple mobile experience

Simple is now available on Google Play for Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) and higher. Current Simple customers can download the app and sign in today. If you'd like to sign up for Simple, you can download the app and request an invitation, or sign up on our website.

Save More, Spend Smarter
Simple replaces your bank with everything you need to organize your spending so you can save more. Use your Simple Visa® card, and the mobile and web apps will help you understand your spending. Deposit checks from anywhere using Photo Check Deposit or use the ATM finder to find the nearest no-fee ATM. Add memos and tags to your transactions to help you track your spending. Save automatically over time and budget more intuitively with Goals. Simple is a smarter way to save and spend.

But Simple shows you much more than how much you're spending. You can budget painlessly by choosing to "spend from a Goal" (from screenshot above) for any transaction in your Activity. You can check whether there was a tip, a fee, or cash back included in the transaction amount. You can track your spending with Simple's automatic transaction categorization. You can see where you spend with each transaction plotted on a map. You control your data, so you can customize any of these details. Stay tuned as we add many more features in upcoming releases.

Building Simple for Android
We knew we couldn't just translate our iPhone app into a new Android app—Simple for Android needed to be designed from scratch. We had the advantage of all we'd learned in the last eight months since the launch of Simple for iPhone. But to truly reimagine Simple for Android we needed an outside perspective on our product. Our Android team collaborated with mobile product development firm Two Toasters in designing and building a new Simple mobile experience. The result is a more streamlined and intuitive Simple mobile app designed from the bottom up for Android.

What's most exciting for us about the release of Simple for Android is that now, many more people can replace their banks with Simple.
