SOFGEN Holdings Limited (SOFGEN), an international provider of IT solutions for banks, has announced the successful deployment of Temenos T24 R11 at SwaziBank. SOFGEN upgraded SwaziBank from T24 R06 on JBase 4.1 to T24 R11 on TAFC via full re- implementation.
The project kicked off with a system audit, which highlighted issues with the old environment and gaps that had manifested themselves as a result of bank process and product evolution. Adopting the audit recommendations, the bank chose a re-implementation based on T24 R11 rather than performing a technical upgrade.
"SOFGEN has many reference customers in the T24 implementation and support/upgrade domain. This coupled with their Temenos upgrade certification made them a natural partner to lead us through the process," said Cyprian Simelane, SwaziBank's Senior Manager of Information Technology.
The project utilized the Temenos Implementation Methodology, incorporating process alignment, system parameterization, data migration, interface development, training (technical and end-user), and post-live handholding. Mr. Simelane continued, "The SOFGEN team executed the project diligently and swiftly; the bank is highly appreciative of the dedication and professionalism shown throughout the project."
The implementation was subjected to project governance by Temenos and Temenos support provided necessary assistance when required.
