As the EBA Clearing MyBank launch approaches, Raiffeisen Alto Adige has decided to join the circuit, relying on TAS Group to deliver a solution with high added value and fully consistent with the new pan-European model for e-payments and e-mandates.
TAS Group has actively participated in the MyBank initiative by working with EBA Clearing since the early stage of specifications assessment and will support Raiffeisen Alto Adige in all phases of the project, from Pilot Testing through to the Official Launch, scheduled for March 2013.
The new solution, which will allow users to make online payments more easily and securely by directly debiting their bank accounts, will provide the bank and its merchants with a competitive advantage in the international e-commerce scenario which is becoming increasingly integrated and growing strongly (Politecnico di Milano predicts +18% in Italy at the end of 2012, with a turnover of around Euro 9.5 billion).
In Italy, where Internet accessible bank accounts far outweigh the number of active payment cards (117 million accounts compared to only 14 million cards), the initiative is expected to be particularly appealing: placing Italy in the forefront of the MyBank scheme.
"For Raiffeisen Alto Adige, joining the MyBank Project means contributing to the upcoming change and being a significant part of it." says Alberta Egger, CIO Raiffeisen Alto Adige: "We have always pursued innovation that immediately translates into value for our customers; who will soon have a new tool for online buying and selling in an easier and safer way. The choice to work with TAS - continues Egger - is a natural consequence of our solid and deep-rooted relationship: MyBank complements our solutions for the e- Commerce world, designed and developed with TAS. "
"We are very pleased to accompany Raiffeisen in this new challenge," adds Agostino Pericoli, Director TAS Lab "Through our applications, tools and test environments, the Bank will be ready to operate in the circuit in a very short time and with maximum flexibility. Adoption of the new system by the bank's merchants will be easier, thanks to the provision of additional services, e.g.. management of refunds, disputes and reconciliation. MyBank support, already incorporated in our eCommerce, eBilling and ePayments platforms, is easily extensible to mobile devices, and is a further step towards simplification and integration of payments that has always underpinned our innovative strategy."
