The new data warehouse will enable the bank to expand its customer base, enhance management reporting, better manage risk, and comply with future Basel regulations.
"BZ WBK sees the opportunity for further growth in the Polish market and the new Teradata platform will offer the bank a stable, high-performance foundation," said Patryk Nowakowski, director Information Management Centre of Competence at BZ WBK. "The bank's investment in Teradata technologies improves its ability to understand and dynamically react to customers, regulators, and market risks."
The Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse with the Teradata Database is flexible enough to grow as the bank grows. Teradata will also offer BZ WBK real-time performance for a range of applications - from reporting to advanced business analytics.
"The Teradata warehouse will integrate all data from throughout the bank and will provide a global view of the banking operations for the best decision possible. In an ultra-competitive financial environment, BZ WBK knows that leveraging data is a key differentiator," said Marek Rudnicki, managing director, Teradata Poland.
