The internationally experienced manager joins the Avaloq Group with immediate effect, where he will have a seat on the executive board.

Martin Frick (48) joins the Avaloq Group as the new Head BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), effective immediately. He has twenty years of experience in IT and outsourcing, primarily in the area of finances, both as a consultant and as CIO and COO. Most recently Frick worked for Xchanging in Frankfurt as COO of continental Europe, responsible for the areas of business production, implementation and IT at the Xchanging Transaction Bank. In his function at Xchanging he was in charge of security transaction processing for several major banks, the implementation of new compensation withholding tax regulations, and the development and integration of new corporate structures, including BPO and outsourcing. Previous to this, Frick was CIO of Avis Europe in the UK, in charge of their IT and back-office divisions, and before that, CIO of the Winterthur Insurance Group.

As head of BPO, Frick fulfils a management function that entails the development and implementation of Avaloq's international BPO strategy. For the Swiss BPO subsidiary B-Source this will not result in structural changes regarding the management or the board.

As demonstrated by the successful cooperation with B-Source, BPO has long been a strategically important cornerstone for Avaloq. With the creation of the new position and the appointment of Martin Frick, BPO gains additional weight within the company and will be expanded and promoted accordingly. With his broad spectrum of expertise - back-office processing, business process and back-office management, operational risk management and business process outsourcing (BPO) - Martin Frick is excellently equipped to develop Avaloq's BPO strategy so as to maximise its success potential. Martin Frick reports directly to CEO Francisco Fernandez and is also a member of the Executive Board.

He holds a doctorate in physics from the University of Heidelberg.

The new management of the Avaloq Group is as follows:

Francisco Fernandez (CEO), Ulrich Voss (General Manager of Central & Eastern Europe), Mathias Schütz (General Manager of Western & Southern Europe and Asia Pacific), Klaus Rausch (CTO), Ronald Strässler (Head Tools), Enrico Ardielli (CFO), Martin Frick (Head BPO).
