Dion gets Omgeo certification

Dion Global Solutions (Dion), technology partner to the financial services industry, announced today that its middle and back office solution, NOVA, has been successfully validated with Omgeo Central Trade Manager (Omgeo CTM) and certified by Omgeo.

The announcement means that Dion, as a certified Omgeo partner, now offers its NOVA clients access to the benefits of CTM, a strategic platform for the central matching of cross-border and non-US domestic equities, fixed income, exchange traded derivatives and CFD transactions.

CTM offers a number of benefits to brokers and investment managers, including the reduction of trade fails, simplified exception-only processing and improved same-day affirmation rates. By linking the two services, NOVA clients will also gain instant access to over 1,000 Omgeo CTM clients globally.

This certification comes at an important time when brokers and investment managers using Omgeo OASYS GlobalSM seek to complete a migration to Omgeo CTM by June, 2013, as required by Omgeo and to ensure the firm's post-trade processing community is using the most current and robust solution available. Dion will assist NOVA clients throughout the migration period to meet this goal.

NOVA is a premium middle and back office solution supporting the trade processing for some of the leading investment banks and stockbrokers across the globe, including trade capture, allocations and confirmations, settlement processing and accounting.

"We are pleased to have received certification on our link between Omgeo CTM and NOVA and to be supporting Omgeo's goal to bring increased efficiency to the post-trade process, said Colin Camp, Managing Director, Products & Strategy at Dion. "This represents just one example of the ongoing development work across our business as we strive to provide the highest quality solutions to our clients. We are looking forward to working with our NOVA users to ensure they capitalise on the benefits of moving to CTM".

'We are extremely happy to have Dion as an Omgeo partner,' added Nellie Dagdag, Omgeo's Executive Director of Sales and Solution Delivery. 'Partners like Dion - with its presence in Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas - pla play a critical role in enabling clients to access the significant operational benefits of Omgeo CTM. Certification of the NOVA platform offers firms the assurance that their interface to Omgeo CTM is as robust as it is seamless.'
