Calastone, the global fund transaction network, is pleased to announce that IFSAM, independent specialists for investment funds, has chosen Calastone for Swift Connectivity to the market.

The partnership between the two firms has been established to provide IFSAM with "an efficient" SWIFT connectivity solution with capabilities to send and receive ISO 20022 or ISO 15022 messages to and from the market. Through a single connection between IFSAM and Calastone, IFSAM benefits from not having to build point to point connections, or worry about infrastructure costs, project costs or time to market issues.

IFSAM is an independent specialist for investment funds. It has been a reliable partner Europe-wide for many years, exclusively serving institutional clients in the fund business. Banks, insurance companies, pension funds and funds of funds take particular advantage of its services in the business areas of fund dealing, fund custody and fund research.

Calastone enables clients to send and receive fund order messages, irrespective of their size, geographic location, preferred messaging protocol or technology, in any format over any communication network, making both domestic and cross-border trading much more efficient and transparent. Real-time order routing is highly automated and provides visible order flow control for higher productivity at reduced risk and lower costs.

Luc Duarte, Partner of IFSAM said, "As a niche player supplying value added services to our European client base, by using Calastone we immediately become ISO 20022 compliant and don't need to spend time and effort supporting point to point connections or converting existing protocols. This allows our firm to concentrate on servicing our clients by increasing substantially our STP rate to the market. Regardless of our counterparties connectivity or message standard our connection to Calastone enables us to automate the trade transaction life cycle."

Peter Hermans, Director of European Sales and Business Development "We are delighted to partner with firms such as IFSAM to provide efficient solutions and will continue to support and develop our servicesces to meet their needs. IFSAM's decision to select Calastone as their connectivity partner demonstrates Calastone's ability to provide extensive cross-border fund coverage."
