Bloomberg Tradebook, Bloomberg LP's global agency broker, announced today at TradeTech Asia (Nov 7-8, Singapore) that Thomas (Tom) Kingsley will drive Bloomberg Tradebook's Asia-Pacific execution consulting practice from Singapore.

Kingsley brings 15 years of experience with the Asian equity markets having led sales and trading teams at buy-side and sell-side institutions. He joined Bloomberg Tradebook in New York as head of product development for the Asia Pacific region and in that role built relationships with regional research partners and developed specialized tools for Asia-based U.S. equities clients.

"Bloomberg Tradebook sees growth opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region, and we have solidified our commitment to expand client services there by relocating Tom Kingsley to Singapore," said Ray Tierney, president and chief executive officer of Bloomberg Tradebook. "Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art execution consulting and product development services, coupled with high-quality independent research content as a truly global, full-service, agency broker."

"Traders in Asia today are inundated with technology options amidst a trading environment where liquidity capture remains a challenge," said Tom Kingsley, head of execution consulting for the Asia-Pacific region. "Bloomberg Tradebook brings a compelling offering to market that combines trading tools for Asian markets and Asia-based execution consultants who can advise clients on trading technologies, liquidity sourcing and trade optimization."

Bloomberg Tradebook was ranked the #1 broker for global equity trading in the Institutional Investor best execution league tables for three years in a row (2011/2010/2009) and Pension and Investment Magazine ranked it the top broker for Small Cap and Micro Cap trading in March 2011.
