First Data and Datacap form partnership

First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, and Datacap Systems, the leading integrated payment verification system provider, today announced a new cooperative marketing program enabling POS and software resellers to offer Datacap's Rental Usage Program with First Data payment processing.

Merchants using selected First Data processing services can now conveniently acquire Datacap Tran and ePay products on a monthly payment basis through their system reseller and First Data.

This agreement allows resellers to provide a complete portfolio of First Data payment systems, features, and services to meet the specific processing needs of their end-user merchants. This includes host and terminal options, next day funding and many other specific benefits merchants and resellers appreciate. By offering electronic payment solutions to their end-user customers under this program, participating Datacap dealers receive an additional revenue stream while they and their customers enjoy a high level of implementation, ongoing support, and other unique features.

"By working with Datacap, we are able to offer our mutual partners the ability to leverage the benefits of Datacap combined with the many strengths of First Data," said Neal Korzekwinski, senior vice president, Strategic Partner Acquisition & Management, First Data. "This also gives dealers the ability to expand their reach and sales, and share in revenue opportunities."

This program is available exclusively to independent software vendors and dealers that sign referral partnerships with First Data through the Datacap program.

"Datacap's usage programs remove sales obstacles and ensure high support levels, promoting reseller and processor cooperation by aligning stakeholders to jointly address retailers' requirements," said Gale Peters, vice president of Sales and Marketing, Datacap. "This significantly extends average merchant relationships with both processors and POS providers, and everyone benefits. Having First Data engaged cooperatively with POS resellers on integrated payments is significant."
