Ingenico (Euronext : FR0000125346 - ING), leading worldwide provider of payment solutions today introduced the iPP H-Touch 480. This new hybrid & touchscreen multilane POS effectively reinvents traditional checkout by combining payment apps with business apps.

iPP H-Touch 480 is a next generation payment device designed for the highly demanding retail industry. Its unique set of innovations and advanced features include a large touchscreen for enhanced user experience, multimedia decoder to play promotional videos, many connectivity capabilities and a hybrid reader to speed up check-out with a single-slot for both magstripe & chip cards. It also offers all payment options including signature capture and NFC contactless. It is highly secure and is the first and only PCI-PTS 3.x certified hybrid device on the market.

Beyond its comprehensive range of payment apps possibilities, the iPP H-Touch 480 is a powerful interactive solution enabling retailers to put together a unique set of business apps such as brand promotion, consumer enrolment, consumer surveys, lane item display, online one-click purchase, loyalty applications or contract signature. With iPP H-Touch 480, retailers will provide a unique shopping experience that sets them apart from the competition.
As a consequence of the mobility trend, of the fast development of touchscreen interfaces and of retailer cross-channel strategies leading to more personalization, consumers are more and more demanding of services at the check-out. A study done in Europe in May 2012 revealed that 60% of them were expecting more innovative services at lane check-out and 25% at self check-out. Therefore, we believe that with the combined value of payment apps and business apps, the iPP H-Touch 480 solution offers retailers the opportunity to reinvent the traditional check-out and develop consumer engagement at the point of sale" says Guillaume Pascal, VP of Solutions Marketing at Ingenico.

The hybrid card reader function, the very high level of hardware & software security and its robust design make the iPP H-Touch 480 a perfect candidate for retailers' check-out renewal in Germany" says Marc Birkner, Managing Director Germany, Ingenico and easycash. "Our first customer deployment turns to be a real success and we are pleased to launch this new offering this week, during our easybusiness retail customer event near Cologne".
