Rimes Technologies, a leader in index and benchmark data management, has appointed compliance expert Andrew Knowles to head up business development for its Compliance Services division.
Knowles will be responsible for further developing the company's data management solutions for the buy-side and will be based in London. He joins the RIMES from J.P. Morgan, where he managed the Compliance Reporting Services product and advised the bank on the ongoing regulatory changes in the industry.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Knowles worked for the Northern Trust in a variety of roles including Client Services, Derivatives and Risk Services and Compliance Consulting for nine years. His responsibilities included EMEA sales and product development while providing a range of compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base.
Christian Fauvelais, CEO and co-founder of RIMES, comments: "Andrew understands the issues around the quantity, quality and timeliness of data required by buy-side compliance departments and is perfectly positioned to support and grow our customer base by further developing our solutions to meet this unique set of challenges. We are delighted to welcome him on board."
Andrew Knowles, Head of Business Development for Compliance Services at RIMES, comments: "I am very excited to be joining RIMES. Index data and benchmarks are critical to investment management, but they are rapidly growing in complexity, presenting significantly different challenges to other data types, especially in the evolving regulatory environment."
"I look forward to utilising my extensive experience in investment and regulatory restriction monitoring, and in particular UCITS compliance, to further establish RIMES as the leading data management service for the buy-side."
