The solution is compatible with all platforms and all types of devices. It opens new fields of application to banks outside of classic online banking too, such as mobile payment, secure messaging, and mobile-commerce services.

Online banking security is of pivotal importance to Migros Bank. The boom in the use of devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs in such a short space of time meant that Migros Bank needed find a secure and user-friendly authentication solution for all devices.

"It was crucial for Migros Bank that, with KOBIL's AST, a solution would be available that would enable the customer to choose among all currently known types of devices, such as PC, notebook, tablet PC and smartphone. The solution is both user-friendly and secure. No other solution that we looked at could deliver this total package", according to Stephan Wick, member of Migros Bank corporate management.
