Odyssey is pleased to announce that David De Louya will take the role of General Manager Americas for Odyssey Asset Management Systems, a leading provider of wealth management and private banking solutions.

David De Louya joined Odyssey in May and will focus on the development of the company's business in the US and Canada. In his role as General Manager he will manage the sales and operations organisation, with responsibility for Odyssey's expanding local customer base, and for building on recent successes.

David De Louya has had a successful career in the provision of professional services in North America since 1983, predominately in the financial markets. He was instrumental in setting up the original financial practice of IBM in the US, prior to the acquisition of PWC, and for many years has been involved in the management of, amongst others, large wealth management and private banking IT projects.

"David brings a proven track record of achievement and excellence to Odyssey's management team with a strong strategic services & solutions oriented view," said Antoine Duchateau, CEO of Odyssey.

The New York office currently on 245 Park Avenue, was opened in 2004. Odyssey now employs 10 people in the US. The office will continue to expand to become a full-service Odyssey location with Help Desk and support consultants dedicated exclusively to North American clients. The majority of staff will be recruited locally, with skills transfer from Odyssey experts seconded temporally from Europe.

"To make this important step into the US market means a great move forward for Odyssey. Our client base now includes local North American banks, which is further evidence of the suitability of Odyssey solutions to the region. We are committed to offering our local clients with the same high level of service and support enjoyed by clients in Europe and Asia and are constantly strengthening our team to do so," said Antoine Duchateau.
