Reporting to John Laurens, Regional Head of PCM, Mark will be responsible for driving the sales of HSBC's cash management solutions to corporates and financial institutions across the region.

Commenting on the announcement, Laurens said, "As Asia continues to be the growth engine of the global economy, cash and liquidity management remains a top priority across the region. With extensive experience in managing sales businesses across diverse portfolios, Mark has successfully led our team in Singapore for the past two years and is committed to meeting the local, regional and global needs of our clients."

Mark previously led HSBC's Southern Asia regional sales team and has been HSBC's Acting Regional Head of Sales, Global Payments and Cash Management, Asia Pacific, for the last three months. He brings more than 20 years' experience in working capital and transaction banking advisory services with corporates, multinationals, public sector, and financial institutions in Asia.

Laurens continued, "Mark has been instrumental in the development and success of our regional sales platform, and his client-focused approach is evident across all areas of our business. I am therefore confident he will continue to drive and elevate our engagement with clients to further develop the strong growth we are seeing in the business."

Mark takes over from Richard Jaggard who returned to the UK earlier this year.
