The solution will also assist financial institutions in managing profitability by helping increase staff productivity through better workflow, while also helping improve operational efficiency and cost reductions through process automation.

A single, fully integrated and flexible platform, Ambit Wealth Management will help Asia's wealth management firms adapt to changing market conditions by providing relationship managers with up-to-date industry news, regulatory updates and detailed client information. This "single view" will allow relationship managers to customize client services while also helping ensure compliance with industry regulations. The solution's mobile capability permits relationship managers to provide client services "on the go".

Ambit Wealth Management comprises integrated front and back office components:

  • Ambit Wealth Strategist: A multi-lingual, multi-regional front-office solution that allows relationship managers and advisors to acquire a complete client view and helps enhance productivity through better workflow and improve service levels.
  • Ambit Wealth Administrator: An investment administration and accounting back office solution that helps streamline operations through the provision of standard accounting policies and structures across multiple currencies and asset classes. With real-time information, it helps financial institutions meet stringent regulatory requirements such as the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).

Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), based in the Philippines, is currently implementing Ambit Wealth Strategist to help automate and consolidate client and account information onto a single platform. SunGard's Ambit Wealth Strategist will help RCBC improve efficiency and deliver greater transparency to its clients.

Mr. Manuel G. Ahyong, Jr., first senior vice president and segment head of RCBC Wealth Management, said, "Ambit Wealth Strategist will help us centralize information across different businesses and systems. Its client-centric workflow, reporting capabilities and strength of integration will help introduce efficient processes into our wealth management organization. SunGard will not only help us meet our technology requirements, but it will also provide us with the experience and expertise to deliver a reliable solution and a roadmap for growth, which in turn helps us increase client trust and confidence."

Edward Lopez, executive vice president, SunGard's wealth and private banking business unit, said, "The changing face of wealth management in Asia means financial services providers need to quickly address evolving regulation, growing investor demands, margin pressure and an increasingly educated customer base, in order to succeed in the region. SunGard has developed the Ambit Wealth Management solution suite to help banks navigate the complexity of Asia's wealth management industry."
